My best friend got married on Saturday! She and I have been best friends since we were 13 years old. We've had our rough patches, shared some tears, tons of laughter, and an infinite amount of makeup!
The two of us have grown closer through heartbreaks, drifted when we needed some independence, and practically lived at every mall within 20 miles of home. We spent countless hours on the phone discussing everything and nothing all at the same time. Through it all, we've endured each other and shaped each other into the women we've become. While we've never quite been at the same life stage at the same time, we've always brought one another along for the ride (whether we've wanted to be drug along or not!).
I can truly say that I'm so happy that my best friend was able to marry her best friend on Saturday. Megan R. Grubb (now Rooney!), you are my (slightly older) sister and I will always love you and be there for you. Forever.
